what the hell is lower depths?
lower depths is the home of the digital & spirit discographies.

it was started in jan 2002 as a discography for digital but has slowly changed over time.
since then we've added a discography for spirit, a record crate containing tunes we like, links to mixes and interviews by digital & spirit and other artists that we like. if you want to look at a long, boring list of all the changes we've made check out the updates.

how can i help out?
if you'd like to help us out you can do a few things.
first of all we need to finish the digital and spirit discographies by getting some scans of record labels and audio clips, see the contribute page for a list of what we're still after.

we're also hosting some good mixes and we've been known to do some pretty good interviews. so if you're a dj or producer and you want to have a chat then send us an email and see what we can do.


how do i play the audio?
the audio samples on lowerdepths in the discographies and the record crate all use real audio.
to listen to them download a copy of real player.

in the mixes and interview sections there are a links to audio and video files from other websites on the internet.
if you want to play all of these files we recommended that you have players that can handle mp3s (try itunes or winamp), ogg vorbis (again, try winamp or find out more here) and windows media (go microsoft).


what are the view options?

releases by: selects the releases to display:
· digital displays all releases by digital (& his other aliases and collaborations), including compilation appearances and remixes (of his tracks and his remixes of other artists).
· likewise, spirit displays all releases by spirit.
· all displays all releases in the lower depths database, ie all releases by digital or spirit. that's what we're here for....

tracks by: selects the tracks to display:
· selected artist displays only the tracks by the artist selected in releases by:. if you have selected releases by: all then this will only display tracks by digital or spirit. use this when you don't want to see all the other tracks on their compilations or something...
· all displays all tracks of the selected releases. yes its that simple.

and again, the discographies only cover vinyl releases + cd exclusives, we're too lazy to track down every time the tracks are licensed for mix cds...
